Description of axial fan ME304

Axial fans type ME304 are efficient and quiet running fans with a nominal speed of 1400rpm and a voltage of 230volts.

The fans have a diameter and thus a size of 300mm and a volume flow of 2000m³/h.

The areas of application of the fan are versatile and flexible, for example, it can be used for cooling offices, but also in smaller generator rooms or even for cooling of or in machines. The design as a built-in fan is particularly suitable, which means that it can be easily integrated into office or hall walls. Also the integration in containers for the ventilation and cooling of the same is easy due to the high quality and stable installation ring.

Voltage and control of the ME304 axial fan

The AC axial fans can even be specially regulated by temperature controllers from our offer. Our offer also includes air quality controllers, which are often used to make the air in office spaces more pleasant. Thus, the fans are even used in stables.

If the desired application of the fans has high continuous temperatures, thermal contacts in the form of bimetal switches are recommended to prevent damage to the motor.

The rated voltage of the AC fan is 230Volts and 50 Hertz, but for three-phase motors the voltages 480Volts, 60Hertz and 5757Volts and 60Hertz are also possible for use in the USA and Canada areas. Special voltages in the form of 500Volt and 50Hertz are also available.

Stainless steel variants of the ME304 axial fan

Stainless steel fans are also available in the versatile offer catalog of Kaiser Ventilatorenbau. The fans made of V2A material (material number 1.4301 or AISI 304 or X5CrNi189) are often used in the food industry. The special stainless steel V4A (material number 1.4571 or AISI 316 or X10CrNiMoTil810) is suitable for very salty air.

The motors are cast from high quality aluminum as standard. On request, it can be left raw or painted with food color. If regular acceptance tests are carried out, an aluminum material approved for the food industry can also be used for production.

For offshore applications, painting with salt water resistant paint is also possible.

Material of the ME304 axial fan

The impellers are made of plastic reinforced with fiberglass as standard, but they can be made of aluminum on request for use in higher temperatures.

The rectangular plate fan model is also available upon request and minimum quantity.

The degree of protection, which is IP44 as standard, can be extended to IP54 or IP56 for use in humid environments.

The air flow of the axial fans is freely selectable, provided that the air direction is specified when ordering.

If weather guards or discharge grilles are required to comply with the Machinery Directive, they can also be ordered from our versatile catalog.

Technical description of the ME304 axial fan

The axial fan is reversible. However, when reversing the air direction, a loss of air performance of up to 15% must be expected, as the axial impeller blades are profiled for optimum efficiency.
The motors, which were specially developed by Kaiser Ventilatorenbau, were adapted to the axial fans and have thermal protection class F or H according to DIN EN 60085.
Type tests for storage temperature or operating temperature can be requested if required, as well as salt water tests for stainless steel fans in the offshore area and an IPx6 test of the moisture box.
The fans fully comply with the ERP2015 Ecodesign Directive (ErP Directive 2009/125/EC EU Regulation No. 327/2011), carry the CE mark and are designed to be energy efficient.
The fans are controllable and adjustable over the entire speed range. This can be done by speed controllers in transformer design, which are available in our offer and can be easily controlled.
The AC axial fans are controllable by stepless electronic speed controllers, and the control can also be done by temperature controllers or CO2 controllers and air quality controllers based on them.
The three-phase motors, which can be controlled by frequency converters, must be supported by an all-pole sinusoidal filter between the motor and the fan, depending on the frequency converter, according to DIN-IEC/TS 60034-17.
